Homeless ex-Playboy model who once lived at Hugh Hefner’s mansion explains why she refuses adult content

Louise Glover said she would rather live in the field than sign up to the likes of OnlyFans

If you’re up sh*t creek without a paddle, most people would do just about anything to earn a few quid and try to get back on their feet.

But for this former Playboy model, one get-rich-quick-scheme is completely off the table – and she’s adamant that she would rather kip in her £60 tent on a farm instead of resorting to producing adult content to make a living.

Twenty years ago, Louise Glover was living the high life and rubbing shoulders with the likes of Paris Hilton, Leonardo DiCaprioRihannaMatthew Perry, and Snoop Dogg, while swanning around on Hugh Hefner‘s arm.

She was one of the many ladies who lived in the notorious lothario’s lavish mansion over the years, having impressed the magazine boss at a photoshoot in Los Angeles when she was 21.

Glover went on to appear on the cover of Playboy Vixens, before being crowned Playboy Special Editions ‘Model of the Year’ – making her the first British winner – in January 2006.

The model, who was born in St Helens, had already made a name for herself in the UK after appearing in a string of ‘lads mags’ such as FHM, Bizarre and Loaded, before she flew the flag for us across the pond.

She claims Hefner dubbed her the ‘British Carmen Electra’, which can give you an idea of just how popular she was throughout her 20-year modelling career.

Glover would fly around the globe for shoots before returning back to the Playboy mansion, where she had a rent-free room, and the champagne didn’t stop flowing – but now, she’s sleeping in a tent and relying on a camping stove.

She’s pitched up on a farm near Reading because she had to give up her rented room in a shared property close to Windsor after the price shot up, while her personal training and dog-walking businesses hit a lull.

The 41-year-old is sleeping with two hot water bottles each night as it is and is well aware her circumstances ‘have to change’ before the cold months really set in – however, she isn’t interested in stripping off to earn some cash.

The ex-Playboy star, who describes herself as ‘self-reliant’, said she would rather reside in her tent for the foreseeable than sign up to the likes of OnlyFans or agree to participate in porn.

Speaking to The Sun, Glover said: “It is hard now I am older, the modelling work isn’t there. I’d love to do presenting and I still do bits of promo work, but I refuse to do anything pornographic.

“I have too much self-respect for myself to go stripping as some have suggested. People ask me, ‘Why don’t you do Only Fans?’. But I would rather get my life together and live here, in this field.

“I don’t need to lower myself to that. I have morals and self-respect.”

Glover currently gets her head down in a sleeping bag on a double blow-up mattress, which is obviously a far cry from the ‘incredible’ Playboy mansion she used to live in.

However, she hasn’t let being homeless steal her happiness and remains optimistic about her future – even though she admits she is ‘starting from scratch’.

“I want to try to get my work back up because I am very self-reliant,” Glover added. “Surviving and being independent is what I have always done.”

The Brit claimed that after contacting a homeless shelter, she was informed that she would not be a priority – so after sleeping in her car for a couple weeks, she came up with the idea to get a tent.

If only Hef could see her now, eh?
