In recent years, the 78-year-old actress has been taking on more modeling gigs, and her presence at this year’s Paris Fashion Week showcased her continued flair for the spotlight.

Back in 1980, Mirren made her mark in the film industry with a standout performance in “The Long Good Friday” alongside Bob Hoskins, catapulting her into stardom. This accomplishment earned her the prestigious title of Dame, bestowed upon her by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003.

A few years down the line, Mirren crossed paths with Taylor Hackford, the director of the 1985 film “White Nights,” where she shared the screen with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Gregory Hines, and Isabella Rossellini. Since 1997, the two have been inseparable, sharing a lasting bond.

Helen Mirren Shares Insights on Aging
With nearly six decades in the acting industry, Helen Mirren has consistently challenged age-related beauty norms. She wasn’t particularly thrilled when Esquire bestowed upon her the title of “Sexiest Woman Alive.”

“I’m not fond of the term ‘sexual.’ Some people exude sensuality, while others may express it less overtly. But we need a broader word. ‘Sexual’ is too confining,” she remarked. “Being formidable holds far more fascination than being conventionally beautiful.”
In early June, at the Ora! Film Festival in Italy, Mirren made a striking statement in a vivid pink maxi dress adorned with silver sequins, elegantly cinched at the waist. Complementing the ensemble were comfortable silver open-toed flats, and she used a matching pink hairband to sweep her flowing silvery-white locks away from her face.

Mirren, who discussed her roles in “Shazam!” and “1923” on the British morning TV show, Lorraine, remarked, “There’s this notion that one shouldn’t have long hair past a certain age.”
She went on to say, “But during Covid, I started growing my hair, and I hadn’t actually had long hair since my 20s. And it sort of just kept growing, and I couldn’t be bothered to cut it, to be honest. I thought, you know what, it’s pretty cool, I think I’ll keep it for a little while. It’ll come off eventually. But I’m kind of enjoying it, it’s quite a radical change.”

Recently, Helen Mirren garnered a wave of admiration from her fans when she graced L’Oréal’s spring/summer 2024 runway at this month’s Paris Fashion Week.
Her ensemble showcased a bold, crimped hairstyle and a silver sequined gown with strikingly long sleeves. Her hair was styled in an extravagant pouf, and she radiated confidence as she confidently walked down the runway.
Supporters of the actress took to social media to shower her with compliments, describing her as “stunning” and “beautiful”. Many remarked on how she continues to exude beauty at every stage of life. Others praised Mirren for being an inspiration to older women, who often feel overlooked by the fashion industry due to their age.
